Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and butter a cake tin.
- In a large bowl, combine the chestnut and wheat flours, sugar, yeast and pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the melted butter and milk.
- Mix well to obtain a homogeneous preparation.
- Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture in batches, mixing gently with each addition.
- Add the chestnut jam with Madagascar vanilla, taking care to incorporate it well to perfume the whole pastry with its aromatic sweetness.
- Pour the mixture into the buttered mold and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- To check doneness, insert the tip of a knife: it should come out dry.
- Leave to cool before unmoulding and serve with a touch of extra chestnut jam for those with a sweet tooth or our Poire Williams Châtaigne Fève Tonka Noix de Pécan caramélisées.
Tips: This cake goes perfectly with black tea or coffee.
For an even more gourmet version, you can add glazed chestnuts or walnuts to the dough.
A simple, authentic cake, ideal for fans of natural, comforting autumn flavors.
